herbes

courtesy of Pinterest

I could sit and regard fix at this field of lavender for hours! What I would do to have a beau landscape such as the one in this picture.
Even if you don't have an acre or two for harvesting lavender you can enjoy a smaller version no matter how small of space you have. That's the grand thing about herbs.
I grow a large area of both rosemary, thyme and basil. I use the trois of herbs to cook with on a regular base. Especially fond of the basil. I use it to make Pesto dishes.

What is your favorite herb?
I'm still rêver of spring in between maison updates.

Ayez un beau jour

  2. Hi Jill! I´m one of your newest followers and right now I´m planting my little herb garden. Agree with you, basil is delicious (I usually add some on my pizza cheese and everyone´s delighted!) but I also have rosemary, chives, peppermint, thyme, sage, dill, oregano and melissa... Did you know they have a lot of medicinal uses too? Loved your post!

  5. Lavender is my favorite fragrance in the entire world. I was bicycling in England and could smell a big lavender field several hundred fee before we even saw it. Love it.

  10. Hello,
I visited your blog today - I saw you on 'Shabby Sweet Tea.' Your blog is lovely, and the picture of the purple flowers is beautiful. My girls love all things French, as they went to Paris a few years ago, and it changed their life. We started a blog, and we would love it if you could visit us and follow. I would enjoy coming back to visit with you. Your blog is filled with beauty and simplicity - two things which I love. I hope to hear from you, and have a sweet day.

  11. How beautiful!
I love growing herbs too. Basil is one of my favorites. And just recently I added sage to my garden (I love making butter sage sauce).
